My First New Car
I had spent the summer of 2008 looking for my first new car. I went to numerous car lots from Ohio Valley Ford to Straub Honda, to find a car I would be happy with for at least six years. I would be paying on it for this amount of time. Then I happened to come across a silver 2008 Subaru Impreza sedan. An, I knew this was the car I would be satisfied with for many years to come.
My journey started on a spring day, when the trees started to grow leaves shading the sun over the house. My mother and I went car shopping. I took my mother due to the fact she used to be a car salesman, and knew the strings to pull to get the greatest deal. We first went to Straub’s to see the cars they had in stock.
I arrived at Straub’s and was greeted promptly by a salesman. He asked “How my I help you today.” I told him I was interested in purchasing a new car today, and was leaning towards the Honda Civic. I admired the Civic due to its good reviews from numerous car magazines, and I thought it was sporty. I told the salesman I wanted something in a blue and a manual transmission. He told me they did not have anything like that on the lot but they did in the showroom. So, I went into the showroom to look.
I arrived into the showroom, I seen everyone running around like they were a mouse lost in a maze. The salesman showed me a blue 2008 Honda Civic with the manual transmission. I was filled with joy because this car had it all. It had the crystal clear stereo system that could be heard, throughout the whole car. And, it was a great car for me due to its awesome gas mileage. I would be driving this car frequently, so I wanted one that I would not have to fill up all the time. However, when we tried working a price they would not come down from the manufacture suggested retail price on bit. They said due to the high demand of fuel economic cars the price was set.
