My Future
In 5 years, I would be living in Lake Orion, MI with a girlfriend, and no kids. I would be done with school after 2 years at 0.C.C and working at odyssey industries as a cnc machine programmer. In my spare time I will be going to the gym to stay in shape, and also be a huge football fan if the old NFL officials ever get a deal done. As a young cnc programmer I would expect to be making $80,000 a year, of course this money would come from working a lot of overtime. I expect to be living in an apartment until I have my first kid in order to save as much money as possible. I won’t be purchasing a brand new car I will be driving a used grand am or ford f-150 depending on how the gas prices change. My goal in the next 5 years is basically just to start saving money in 401k and in a savings account before I have a child.
In ten years I would be living in Lake Orion, MI still with a wife and 1 kid. I would still have the same job as a cnc machine programmer. Hopefully by this time I will be making $100,000 a year, but again with a lot of overtime. I will still be going to the gym on 4 days a week basis, and still keeping up on my sports from the couch. I will be living in a 2 story house with a main floor and a basement. I will still be driving a used car probably something with a little more of a safer design for my kid such as a 2014 chevy cobalt. At this point in my life a lot of my money will be going towards 401k, and will be planning on retiring earlier than the average American.
In 25 years, I will still be living in Lake Orion, MI but will be planning to retire within 10 years, and move out of state. I will still be working the same job with close to the same pay, and hopefully be on salary in order to be home with my kids a little more. I will have 2 kids with the same wife, both boys. I will keep all the same hobbies as I had for over 25 years. We will be moved into a little bit more...
