I felt myself to be stronger then this Almighty to whom my life had been bound for so long. In the midst of these men assembled for prayer. I felt like an observer. The novel “Night” is by Elie Wiesel. His about a 15 years old Jewish boy who is taken from his home in Sighet and has to try to survive in concentration camps during World War II. I do feel Elie Wiesel lost his faith throughout the war.

Elie Wiesel thinks if there was a God Jews he wouldn’t be in all the trouble he is in right now. Elie Wiesel saw babies being thrown up in the air and getting shot and if there was a God he wouldn’t let this happen. They would hang people if they didn’t obey the rules, and one kid got hanged but didn’t die for about 30 minutes. Jewish people got burnt alive and gassed to death, just because they are Jews. These are some of the reason why Elie Wiesel lost his faith in God.

Elie Wiesel lost his faith in everything be believed in, (including God). He lost his faith in man kind, because there was no more hope that man kind would be better for him. Elie Wiesel did not say his Caddish prayer for the dead no more, he did not fast on the regular time at all. It got to a point when he lost completely lost his faith and didn’t believe in there holidays no more. At the same time I was afraid of having to wish a happy year in witch he no longer believed.

I do believe Elie Wiesel lost his faith through out the war. Elie lost his faith in God because if there was a God he wouldn’t be put through all the trouble, he lost...
