My Special Place

My Special Place

James Hasselberger Professor Belyi Comm I T/TH 9 25 February 12, 2009 My Special Place The one place where I could go out and not worry about anything causing stress in my life is the baseball field. The baseball field is my special place that can take my mind off of problems going on in my life. It is also the special place where I can just go out and relax and do what I love most which is playing baseball. Once I walk through the gates and step onto the field any little problem that was bothering me just vanishes. I feel as if nothing can bring me down when I am on the field. I run out onto the field and the wonderful smell of fresh cut grass smacks me in the face along with the bright sunshine shining on the grass as if diamonds were sprinkled throughout the field. I stand upon my hill, lick my salty fingers and pick up the ball. I dig my cleats into the clay and look up into the stands seeing all the fans ready to cheer after every pitch thrown. There is no feeling in the world that compares to feeling I get when I am out there pitching. It is an indescribable feeling that I get when I am out there pitching, and there is nothing that even comes close to the feeling I get. There is nothing quite like running out onto a baseball field and that is why the baseball field is my special place.
