No to Plastics

In our fast paced lives we want everything easy... The more Easy a thing is, more is the demand. A Poly bag may seem a very small thing but it actually is a big thing which is doing loads to make our environment suffer.Polythene is one such product, which due to its ease of use, hardiness, light weight, waterproof nature and low cost has found a wide applicability in modern society. It is largely used for packaging and storing and is most widely used as carry-bags. As the consumption of polythene has increased enormously, so has the accumulation of waste polythene, particularly in urban areas! Polythene bags lying in garbage heaps and blowing here and there has become a common sight today at most of the public places, residential colonies, tourist complexes etc., which not only is an eye-sore but also has serious environmental implications.Just imagine your head stuck inside a polybag, U cant breathe, there is no air then there would be only lifelessness. I don't want to give this kind of environment to our Next Generation, I want them to enjoy the fresh air as much as I do or maye even more and hence from now I pledge to avoid using Polybags as much as possible. I request all those who are reading this diary please try and take a step towards a healthy environment.Believe me it not tough at all. Try some small steps like these:1. At big stores (like Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop etc) insist on just one big bag and not multiple bags.2. Big bags are in fashion these day so girls plz bring out the fashion crazy chick inside u out of the basket. Carry big bags and avoid polybags.3. Any store that you visit, advice the Shopkeeper to switch over to Paper bags (Keep doing it, If all of us do it then they would be forced to change)4. Carry your own jute or different bags to places you know you'll be shopping a lot . This would help in a way that chances of losing one or more small polybags would be less. (Which actually happens a lot when u shop a lot and are carrying...
