Before technology has developed to what it is now, large amounts of information were stored and filed into folders and filing cabinets. These kind of ‘manual’ systems were used everywhere; in banks, hospitals, schools and offices. However this proved to be very troublesome due to the time and space wasted creating and organising the information.

Now
Our system is a student health card system. We are going to interview all the students of M4 to collect data for our system. We will then use the data and compare it to the health charts we researched to find out who in our class is the healthiest and who is the most unfit. The results will be used to create individual student health cards and also be used to make a simple database.

why we chose our system
The topic given for this term’s assessment was to create a database on any system that we chose. Suggestions like library card database and student ID card database were made but we wanted to be more unique. Other groups had ideas like travel agency database and Asian countries database which inspired us to be more creative.
