Obesity is the major cause of heart and cardiovascular diseases
Obesity has been identified as one of the major factor which causes heart and cardiovascular disease in India. The burden of obesity creates high cardiovascular risk.
Experts team of doctors and researchers from Vedas Cure have executed a detailed research on obesity and its effects on the cardiovascular system of human beings. In the research it was found that there are many ways in which over-weight impacts the cardiovascular health.
Blood sugar or glucose gets metabolized in the body with the help of a hormone known as Insulin. When an obese person eats food, the level of glucose in the blood rises and to neutralize the effect of the sugar the insulin is produced in the body. This way obesity increases insulin resistance and the digestive system of the body gets badly affected. This further creates high blood pressure in the body and the person becomes a victim of diabetes which is a major critical factor for heart diseases.
Moreover when the insulin is not able to perform well in the body the level of a kind of fats known as triglycerides rises in the blood which further leads to bad cholesterol rise and good cholesterol called HDL down.
Obesity obstructs the proper functioning of the heart. Due to extra fats in the body the heart has to suffer extra work load which further weakens it. Obesity also leads to improper sleep apnea which is a major factor for heart failure. Due to this problem the heart gets stressed and it can be fatal sometimes.
Obesity affects the cardiovascular system of humans in many ways the chief among them can be described in the below mentioned diagram:
