We encounter a lot of people in our life time, People that change us and people that we amend. We encounter most of these individuals during the instant that we are confined to our occupations. But there is always that distinct someone who makes a dramatic effect, someone we would consider unforgettable.
Crisostomo arrives in front of AVEAN Telecom at seven thirty a.m. everyday. Although offices begin not until eight o’clock, with his neatly ironed “camisa”(a traditional clothing), he waits patiently smiling at almost anyone who notices him. After an exchange of greetings with the key holder and every immediate associate, he goes by his morning routine by bringing out his planner and a neat stack of post-its with which he scribbles notes and reminders and afterwards attach to the outer margin of his computer monitor. He then proceeds with the reading of his colour-coded planner. He uses several colours of pen to differentiate entries by their levels of priority and days of the week. At least that is what I believe it is for. He goes about his daily routine, consulting his planner with every move and fervently performing every task. It is possible that he does this because of his low threshold on pressure, or maybe it s the reason he can afford to be amiable all the time. The trait that my co-worker acquires is fundamental trait that every body should consider. My guess is that my colleague Crisostomo Castro has come up with a system that works for him. For what ever reasons, I couldn’t care less. It is mans nature to adapt to his environment, or at least an intelligent man’s nature. That peculiarity is what I have come to admire about Crisostomo. I have been trying to adopt some of styles and method, to incorporate with my own as a way of continually improving myself. I believe that these qualities with the right understanding and evaluation will lead to a successful and fulfilling life. I can comfortably say, in my own way that I have grown as an employee, as...
