Proper Treatment of Office Co-Workers In a deployed environment where you have to deal with each other twenty four hours of the day, seven days a week, in close quarters none the less, with no extended relief from each other. Disrespect can lead to bickering, distrust, dissent, decreased morality, and inability to cooperate well with your fellow soldiers, severely reduced rate of productivity, and internal conflicts that may result in physical or verbal altercations, thus creating a hostile and volatile work atmosphere. Thus it is obviously greatly imperative to treat your office co-workers with respect; this creates a more pleasant and easy going work environment. It also creates good cohesion within the office, thus creating amore productive and significantly less stressful work atmosphere. Because not only do you have to interact with your fellow co-workers on a daily basis you may also find the need to depend upon them on the battlefield should the situation, however unlikely the opportunitymy seem, given the requirements of our particular mission operation specialties, manifest itself. Another disadvantage of poor treatment of co-workers is insubordination. The concept of insubordination is most often associated with military organizations, as military organizations have a chain of command and lawful orders given by a commissioned officer (CO) or noncommissioned officer (NCO) are expected to be carried out by the person to whom the order is given. Refusal of a military officer to obey his (civilian) superiors would also count, though in some nations the head of the governmentis (at least technically) also the most superior officer of the military. Other types of hierarchical structures, especially corporations, may also use insubordination as a reason for dismissal or censureof an employee.
