What good has the creation of Israel done for the world? The world has stolen the land from the Arabs and has given it to the Zionist. Yet, according to a number of Judaism Fundamentals, the concept of a Jewish state is contrary to its beliefs. I am not Israeli, Palestinian, Jewish, nor Muslim but speaking from a neutral Atheist point of view, if you’re going to do something, do it well or at least correctly. Speaking of doing something correctly, I’m sure most of us have heard something to the effect of “never make a promise you can’t keep” and sadly, Britain was oblivious to this. Nevertheless, the outcome of the WW1, Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916 and the McMahon-Hussein Agreement of 1915 were very convincing or seemed that the Allies, especially Britain would give up land for an Arab state. The deal was that the Arabs would fight against the Turks, with the Allies and thus Palestine would be promised to them. On the contrary, a year later the British gave their support for a Jewish homeland in Palestine, as stated in the Balfour Declaration of 1917.
Hold on a second, didn’t Britain promise Palestine to the Arabs earlier?! How in the world is Britain going to give the same land they promised to two nations, without causing conflict? The great Publilus Syrus once said “Never promise more than you can perform” and once again Britain has shown us that she is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. The Palestinians were extremely furious, which hasn’t seemed to cease, but I don’t blame them. Arthur Koestler’s quote “One nation promising another nation the land of a third nation” is right on the spot.
Did the British even know what they were hoping to achieve? These are two rival groups which the British expected to both coexist and balance the same amount of power. However, this illogical madness has created everlasting conflicts starting from the first Israeli-Arab...
