Group and Team
Every organization has teams or groups to help them. There are two kinds of groups or teams namely formal and informal. Groups/teams participate in important roles for an organization to become successful in the future. Working in groups and teams is very useful in some problem solving and some others things. The Cambridge Dictionary (2003) defines “Team a number of phrases which refer to people working together as a group in order to achieve something”.
Our company, PIU (Pride International University), there are a lot of groups and teams are carrying their jobs. As PIU have a lot of groups and teams there are many problems between the groups and teams. In order to help improve the performance of organization it is necessary to understand to natural of human relationships and what goes on when group of people meet. Working in group is likely to be both a psychologically rewarding, but also a potentially demanding, experience for the individual. According to Guirdham, for example: Many of the concepts that have helped us understand interactive behavior in work relationships are also needed for understanding it in groups, including role behavior, norms and co-operation, competition, conflict and conflict resolution.
