The idea of going overseas for university study is an exciting prospect for many people. But while it may offer some advantages, it is probably better to stay at home because of the difficulties a student inevitably encounters living and studying in a different culture. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

EXAMPLE 1

Nowadays more and more people aspire to travel to foreign countries for academic pursuals. This trend has also raised many controversies where some people advocate foreign destinations for education, others strongly feel that it is always better to complete studies in the home country.

The people who strongly recommend foreign varsities for pursuing education feel that this lays opportunities or better standard of education at the disposal of the pupils pursuing excellence in their academic domains. As per them there are many specialized international universities like Harvard which have no global parallels and studying in a varsity can help students enhance their skills and capabilities and avoiding varsities as these can prove to be a drawback for people seeking finesse.

Moreover, studying in a foreign country also helps pupils to develop broader approach towards their subjects as they get exposure to various kinds of educational resources. They also get informed about and exposure to variety of viewpoints of different cultures which helps them to develop a rational perspective towards various aspects of their subjects and eventually their lives.

On the contrary, many people who feel that obtaining education in one’s own home country is laden with numerous advantages like student have all access to moral support of the family and friends, they do have to undergo the undue stress of performing in an alien country.
