Parenting Styles(Rough Draft)

For generations, parenting has proven to be one of the most difficult jobs a person can have.There are many different ways to raise a child, and every parent would probably agree that their way of parenting is superior. Parenting can be a really complex concept to grasp, and although many parents might not know it, there are terms to classify their behaviors toward their children and how it influences their child. This form of child rearing is called parenting style, a stable complex of attitudes and beliefs that form the context in which parenting behaviors occur. These behaviors are based on a person’s fixed mindset (people believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent instead of developing them. They also believe that talent alone creates success—without effort.) and growth mindset(people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment) toward helping with their child development. There can be positive as well as negative outcomes when raising a child and if a parent isn’t willing to step out of a fixed mindset to a growth mindset, and child’s development may suffer.
Parenting is an interactive situation between a parent and their child. A parents way of communicating and their attitude toward their child’s behavior and development is based on a theory called parenting styles. Parenting styles is defined as a psychological construct representing standard strategies that parents use in their child rearing.
