Parents are the best teachers In life, we must pass many stages: childhood, youth, adolescence and adulthood. I think we can learn many things from friends, teachers and people around us… among them, in my opinion; our parents are the best teachers. On one hand, parents always want to bring the best education to their children. Obviously, some students can’t have the education because of many hurdles. Some schools refuse poor students or high developed societies discriminate against black people. But most parents are fair, they try to do their best to support their children’s education. My parents are not too rich but they tried to get money for me to go to the Monastery when I was seven years old to study. I think it was a difficult time for my family, but my parents never said that. Instead, they always encouraged me . On the other hand, my parents know how to remind me of my origin. They applaud me at the moment I succesed and remind me where I was wrong. When I was in school, I had a lot of awards, everyone always congratulatied me, it made me self- satisfied and I thought I was the best, but when I went to University, everything changed. Me test scores were terrible, I didn ’t learn enough and I felt really down; my friends left me, no more awards, no more congratulations, nothing. But my parents understood, accepted me, helped me pass that difficult time and they always opened their arms, and did their best to help me. I believe they would even sacrifice their lives and their dreams to see me happy and successful. Finally, as people say, “everything has two sides.” I accept the better things that teachers’ teach but I find there are advantages to what parents’ teach others. Therefore, we can be sure that “parents are the best teachers”. In fact, my parents have important influence with who I am today. I always try my best to succed to make them happy and proud of me.
