People are at their happiest point when they find something they are passionate about. That passion may be one of the only things that they love and know the most. The passion that I have is quite broad, but it definitely makes me a happy person. I am very passionate about helping people; especially those who are underrepresented. This passion has taken me a long way and hopefully takes me even further to pursue a career that I will love also.
Helping out and pursuing this passion is what I really love to do. At times when I see a lot of wrong going on or see someone who is so helpless, it really hurts me just to sit back and watch. Sometimes you know that you can’t do anything about it and sometimes you can. It’s easy for someone to just let things slip by without noticing it. If it’s not your problem then why should you have to deal with it or do anything? However, in my case it is different. Sure, it seems like I have it good right now, but my family and I have came a long way to get to this point. Even now, it still isn’t “all good.” But I know that it may be better than most, so therefore, I try to do as much as I can to help those who need it just as I once did. It may be something little such as donating a dollar to a homeless man or volunteering to tutor students how to speak English. It is very rewarding to me when I know that I’ve made someone’s life a little easier and possibly made a difference. It’s hard when I see people who can’t help themselves. However, you can’t be too personal with them because in the end you won’t be able to help them. Instead, you will only be grieving.
In the future, I hope to develop my strong interest into something bigger and better. I hope to major in sociology and pursue the career of a social worker. I want to help young teenage students through a school environment, in the city through foster care and with troubled teens. I am devoted to everyone’s success and I believe that it is never too late to change...
