The process to get married
All couples who want to be married will have to go through several steps in order for the process to go smooth. The first one is the dating phase. The next step is the proposal (getting engaged). After that, the groom has to talk with the father of the girl to obtain permission to marry her. Finally, they start planning the wedding at least six months in advanced.
All the couples start like friends and after a certain time they decide to start dating. Though it may be a scary thing to do almost everyone knows how to ask a girl for a date. Of course they must have similarities to fit as a couple. If they have no similarities they will not be happy and the marriage will not work.
After a while as a couple they decide to become engaged which comes in the form of a proposal. There are many ways that you can propose to a girl, some of the boys are very romantic, they prepare everything for the evening with candles, rose petals, music and of course the ring. Others are more informal but original, such as those who go hiking with his girlfriend than proposes in the middle of the mountain.
When the girl says “yes”, the fiancé than needs to talk with the father of the girl and ask for permission to marry his daughter. After the father of the girl agrees with the boy and gives his permission/blessing, they plan dinner with the parents and both boy and girl to celebrate the engagement. Sometimes it may be wise to ask the father for permission before the boy proposes to the girl. This can show the father that the boy really respects him.
It is recommended that the couple receive counseling prior to their marriage. Pre-marital counseling often brings to the surface many issues that if not resolved prior to getting married could cause major issues/problems in the first couple years of marriage.
