Personal Worldview Inventory
In the world there are plenty of different worldviews seen. Five common worldviews seen are postmodernism, naturalism, pantheism, theism and polytheism (McCallum, p.1.). Other worldviews are pluralism, which includes all sorts of beliefs, but they each have open minds to others. Those in the naturalism category would be atheists, who believe there is no spirit or God and see everything through a scientific point of view. Theism includes the Christianity religion, which believe that God exists and he created all that exists in the world. Postmodernism individuals see all as being created though culture and language. Each worldview views, prime reality, the nature of the world, human beings, death, knowledge, human history and how they know from right and wrong differently.
Prime reality may be different for each worldview. For example, to a Christian, when asked what is prime reality to them they are most likely to state that God is. However, other individuals that have the Monism belief will believe that they are the prime reality because they are in charge of themselves and have the power to change themselves into whomever they choose whether it be for better or worse (Shelly and Miller, p. 205). Christians may believe God is the prime reality due to the fact that he created all that exists and every human being born has been made in the image of him. Overall, whomever an individual views as prime reality, they will believe in something causing each of us to be unique.
