Personal Statement Saying Goals and Experiences

To the members of the admission Committee:





I am applying for admission to your school with the aim of securing a D.D.S degree for an eventual career in dentistry. This career goal to become a doctor was longstanding and deep-rooted. Two of the major drives to attain my professional goal were unique set of experiences with my dad, a successful medical practitioner and my aunt's dedication, research and social work in the healthcare field. However, the gratification that I received from working and caring for others has been major motivation behind my desire to become a doctor.

After having set my goals, I focused my attention on appearing for All India pre-medical/dental exam and was selected for dental program in the prestigious Bhartividya peeth Deemed University, India. I truly enjoyed my college studies, extracurricular activities and my performances and personal attributes reflect my capabilities. Time rolled and I graduated in 2001. My first professional training at a privately held dental group practice, Pioneer Medical Centre, India, enhanced my skills to be a vibrant and confident dentist.

It proved to be a meticulous exposure to all fields of dentistry. Mentoring relationship with highly qualified and successful doctors in this focused group practice and extensive hands-on experience played a vital role in enhancing my practical exposure. This led me towards setting up my private practice office with state-of-the-art facility in collaboration with Apollo Group, India's pioneer and renowned leading health service provider in India. This role offered a great deal of personal satisfaction and was undoubtedly a critical stage in my career providing an opportunity to face and successfully tackle numerous and diverse set of challenges.
