Society today has become increasingly aware of appearance. I had become aware of this fact very early in my life, my father being a dentist.

As a child, I was very fascinated by my fathers' work and the respect people gave him. I aspired to be just like him, to serve the community, earn the respect of the people and make a change, for the better, in the lives of the people who came in touch with me. But most of all I wanted to do something I loved.

During my school days, I had always been a good student and was always amongst the top five in my class. Also I took part in a lot of sporting events and was in the school football team. I was also a good runner for the 100 m races.

I am interested in art and have a good hand too. I also write songs and was the lead singer in my school band.

I have also represented my school in various quiz competiti9ons and debates. After completion of my higher secondary, when the time came for me to decide which career to opt for, I knew I wanted to be a dentist, as my father was my ideal. I used visit his clinic and interact with him, his colleagues, patients, and his assistants, and my love for his work grew.

Also my fathers' youngest brother graduated form the R AHMAD DENTAL SCHOOL, the first dental school of India and I used to visit him there and was very impressed and aspired to be a student there.

After completion of my higher secondary, I joined the SDM College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka, one of India's best Dental Schools, affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences. Also this is the first and only dental school in India, to be accredited is the NAAC (National assessment and accreditation council).

Having had the chance to observe my father at work, when the time came for me to do it, I found that I was a natural at it.
