To figure out which personality type I am, I used the inventory of HumanMetrics. HumanMetrics is a personality test based on 72 “yes-no” statements. According to the Myers-Briggs personality types, I am ISFJ. Which stands for Introverted-Sensing-Feeling-Judging. Also, ISFJ are known as the “The Nurtures” (BSM Consulting, Inc, 2014).
ISFJ are the type of people who tend to focus on the needs of others, rather than themselves, meaning they care deeply for others. ISFJs are furthermore, very family oriented. Also, due to their desire to be of service to others they are often taken for granted (Heiss, n.d.). “ISFJs should also pay more attention to their workload and not hesitate to voice their concerns if it becomes unbearable. ISFJs tend to overload themselves with work, but their kindness is abused just as often as it is respected. As a cynic would say, everyone is secretly an egoist, and the ISFJ personality is the perfect target for those who do not hesitate to use other people for their own gain. ISFJs are extraordinarily loyal, committed, and patient—they should make sure that these traits do not expose them to exploitation” (16Personalities Get to Know Yourself, 2014).
Tiger Woods is one celebrity with the same personality type as me, ISFJ. Which actually surprised me. Looking back at all the controversies he went thru with his wife, the cheating and lying. I don’t think this would be the right personality type for him, due to that doesn’t sound like a nurturing or loyal person to me (CelebrityTypes, 2014). Another famous individual with ISFJ personality is Kim Kardashian. She states, "When I was little I always [pictured myself having] lots of kids ... making breakfast for everyone, packing lunches, driving all the kids to school. I just always wanted to be [like that]" (CelebrityTypes, 2014). From this comment she made she sounds like the nurturing type.
