In my life there are many habits that I incorporate in my daily routine that promotes physical and mental health. Sports and exercise is the most important to me because of the high I achieve from competition while also promoting physical health in doing so. Whenever I am down I go for a jog or run with the dog. Sport and exercise helps brighten my day whenever it may be cloudy. I have always been able to express myself through sport, mainly baseball a sport I have spent most of my life playing. Whenever I was down I could just go down the field and play baseball and my worries would soon disappear. This is no different today when I go for a run or workout. This helps me deal with stressful things in school, work, or relationship. I use these methods to help blow off steam if I’m angry or just to get that high that comes with a hard workout or a long run.
In my life I have had many mentors because of my connection with baseball and the many coaches that were so kind to me. My true mentor would have to be Aunt Nancy. The reasons are to long to list, but raising 3 children alone, working 50 hour weeks, and cooking is enough to inspire anybody. My aunt has always set a good example for me and raised me to be the person I am today. She has always been there to lend advice or take me to a game. She has put her children’s welfare before her own in order to give us the best possible life. Whatever my aunt says I listen with a close ear. She has set great examples for me to follow and I hope to have half the positive influence on a person that she did on me. My aunt is truly a special women that I have always been able to rely on which I will be forever thankful. If I could be like anybody for a day it would be her.
The tools I use on a daily basis that support my well-being are eating the proper foods, maintaining relationships with family and friends, going to school, and working. Those are my ingredients for a productive healthy day in my life....
