I believe that students are brilliant individuals who need a safe and secure environment to learn. Students should be provided a stimulating environment that promotes the learning. They need a warm and caring atmosphere to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. Every classroom should accommodate for the various learning styles and abilities for each student. I believe that every classroom should provide appropriate tools to foster students’ education. All students have certain needs that must be met if they are to grow and learn at their best.
I believe that every student has the potential to become a positive and supportive individual in our society. As an educator, I will help students develop their ability to become capable individuals. I believe students should be presented with a curriculum that is interesting and makes learning relevant to life. I believe that students are motivated to learn when class assignments hold their attention. I believe students are motivated to work and master skills when they have ownership in the curriculum.
I believe students need opportunities to discover for themselves. Therefore, educators should involve themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning activities to make students active learners. I believe students can learn a lot from one another, and cooperative learning groups are wonderful in the classroom. I believe that every child is unique and will bring something special to this world. I believe that every student has the right to express themselves. I will assist my students in discovering who they are, so they will not be afraid to express their own opinions and ideas.
