Are post-menopausal women from ages 15 to 44 that use vaginal douching are greater risk for Pelvic Inflammatory disease than those who don’t.

The literature review started in “MEDLINE” with the word “douching” as a key phrase then thetopic was narrowed to epidemiology of vaginal douching and associate with pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, and carcinomas of cervix. The was the only paper that showed a measure of prevalence, first included, then the researcher extracted valid information from interest and transferred the information to a graphic table. The graphic table consisted gathering combination of individual information with risk similarities in frequency douching, risk of pelvic inflammatory disease and cervical cancer. They were added into the table to be recalculated with a random effect model (The logarithm of the pooled relative risk and sum of weight from individuals) Lastly, the slope result refers the risk (increase or decrease) of frequency of douching per month in individuals.
