a. Attention Getter: The first time I met my step mom Romy she almost burnt down her house making dinner.
b. Topic Revelation: Today we are celebrating my Father Kevinn and my step mom Romy’s wedding.
c. Preview: My dad and Romy have put so much effort into me s and have been there for me through absolutely everything. So I thank both of you for being there for me and always having my back.
2. Body
a. Adjective: They both made huge sacrifices for me on the daily basis, they gave all their effort into supporting me.
i. Sub Point: I remember when we first went over to Romy’s for dinner and she was going to make us spaghetti. For me this a huge deal because I’m praying she knows how to cook. In my head I’m thinking my dad could marry her one day so hopefully she can. So midway through prepping dinner, she has some ground beef cooking on a pan. She drains the grease into a bowl over the stove and the grease hits the flame and it makes a huge flame. Now I’m sitting at the table thinking “oh my god”. She can’t make dinner without almost burning the house down. Of course it was an accident but we proceed to have nice dinner that she made that I enjoyed very much.
1. Transition: Even though she almost burnt down the house, she was trying her best to prepare us a dinner. And it’s more about the thought that counts than the actual effort.

i. Sub Point: I remember when you also displayed a lot of effort. Every week you guys would slave over a meal on Thursday nights for the linemen dinner the night before our games. You guys would put hours into making us some dank dinners, and enjoyed doing it. You guys never complained and were just happy to be apart of it and help us. You all showed effort by allowing everyone to come over after the games and hangout and party there. You just wanted me to be happy...
