I am so excited to be taking this agricultural policy class! This class will ensure that I am equipped with the proper knowledge and skills needed for the long road of success that I will be traveling. Becoming a ruminate specialist comes with hard work and many hours of agricultural education and experience. With this class I will be building on the knowledge that I have already retained in previous classes. This class will be expanding and challenging my intelligence with the information that is provided.
What is agricultural policy to me? Agricultural policy is a set of laws that is directly related to agriculture imports, foreign or domestic. This set of laws insures that people are guaranteed quality food among other house hold products; that are made with agriculture based ingredients. With these polices the government is able to reach certain goals of the community such as a steady pace for the "supply and demand of people", price stability, product selection and more.
With the series of agricultural policy laws the government will do their job to protect the people or "public". As well as protecting our crops, livestock, and minerals from devastating situations. Some of these various issues that we are preventing include diseases such as Avian influenza, Mad-cow disease (Bovine spongiform encephalopathy) and Citrus canker. The policy laws also promote farmers growth with organic farming, fair trade and agricultural independence. I look forward to learning more information about the polices in the farming business to further my intelligence
