The biggest obstacle in the desert is the weather. The reason why I said the weather is the biggest obstacle because the hot sun will get you exhausted so going out in the day will usually get you killed. Also, in the night it gets real cold so you have to build a fire and stay near it. The best time to go out is in the afternoon because its gets colder but not very cold so you can hurry and get the stuff you need. Another big obstacle in the desert is all the dangerous creatures in the area that we are living in. It’s hard to sleep at night because of all of the wolves howling at the night so I go outside to check if their nearing our home. Also, there are a lot of rattlesnakes hiding in the sand. The snakes managed to get inside of the cave on the second night but the hunter had put traps so lucky it was their when we woke up but it died. More big obstacles are the sandstorms and quicksand. The quicksand is really hard to tell from regular sand because they both look the same. The only way I could’ve known there was quicksand was because I saw a camel sinking in the sand so pretty much I stayed away from that area and started to bring rope just in case one of us gets stuck so we can drag them out. The sandstorms are annoying because the first time it happened we all got split up. The rest of the group thought I died because I didn’t return to the cave in the last 2 days. The final big obstacles in the desert are the vultures. The 2 days I was lost in the desert I was followed by vultures for 2 hours until I found temporary shelter. When I went into the cave the vultures waited outside of the cave until the sun went down and they gave up. Those were the biggest obstacles in the desert.
