Pride is what?
When you think of pride what is the first thing that comes to mind? Many people seem to have a different view on what pride is. Many people think that pride could include many things. Pride of family or the reflexion of ones life style, a good job, and or simply being the best at what you do and how you establish yourself in the world. When you hit your first baseball or sink that first goal a weird feeling normally comes over you. I also feel good when I do something for someone else, and that is a great statement of what pride is. Anyone can think of it as they might but however you think of pride it’s simply just a sense of self-esteem. Confidence, strength, but I don’t think that you would think about fear or the courage it takes to get to the whole sense of pride.
According to Webster Dictionary pride is 1: the quality or state of being proud: as a: inordinate self-esteem: b: a reasonable or justifiable self-respect c: delight or elation arising from some act, possession, or relationship 4: a source of pride: the best in a group or class. (3) And if someone were to add to it what would it be, maybe simply how you feel when you do something really great. See pride is more then just being proud it’s what you achieve when you have true virtues and a clear mind set. I agree with the definition about it being a sense of delight arising from a relationship. Most seem to be “on top of the world” when the relationship is going great, but let that same relationship go south then the sense of pride gone. Some people take pride in different things in their life, and for most guys or girls that would be an automobile.
