Since online studies really new to me, am now struggling to modify my lifestyle to be more IT literate.
I personally have issues., the real problem faced by working adult elearners are :-
1. It is understood the traditional way of studying is by being monitered or administrated by a teacher in classroom, online is something new for adults furthermore the need for speed, multitasking really changed scope of studying method.
2. The economy factor. Many of adults have family or big families to look and support. In meantime, they also have to strive and allocate some saving for studying whereby in this high cost of living where budgeting expenses really matters, that contributes to why many early attrition among first time elearners.
3. Working Environment. Is is what we studying will give us opportunity for job enhancement and upgrade career, and getting promoted? Whereby we have to compete with new graduates with highly motivated and good degree and masters.
4. Lack of confidence. Leaving college life for years and started to back to school with new environment really hit the lifestyle. We are so at ease and so called in the comfort zone in the office and have to struggle to achieve targets, then starts to think whether can we pursue or not.
The desire and willingness of adult learners to complete their education presents them with many common challenges, regardless of where they may be geographically. Adult learners abroad and in Palau echo each other on what they identify as barriers to their education goals. As much as they enjoy being back in school, many face the enormous task of balancing this with jobs, housework, and childcare. In addition to these responsibilities, many adult learners everywhere face the problem of supporting themselves and their families, as well as paying for school.
