Problem Statement
The company Kudler Fine Foods has been optimistic for their business to be considered a high quality place for customers to visit and purchase fresh groceries. As the organization continues to expand, President and founder of Kudler Fine Foods Kathy Kudler finds herself doing every job. Katy take’s on to many daily responsibilities, for which she has hired a qualified management team to do.
The organizational charter shows one store manager per store, a director of finance and accounting, director of store operations, and director of administration and human resources. The strategic plan under stakeholder analysis states, Katy hire, fires, finalized the inventory numbers, and places the weekly orders and controls the finances making sure all of the vendors are paid.
Allowing the right department such as store operation, which has a purchasing manager, purchasing assistant and inventory manager to do their job, as in ordering inventory, finalizing the inventory numbers and placing the orders, by doing this it will allow free up time in Katy busy schedule and allow Katy to start have contact with customers.
Giving Human Resource management the authority to conduct the hiring and firing of employees and conduct analyzes on wages and salary as need for each individual store, as described in Human Resource job description, as need for each individual store.
Consulting a financial advisor or an accountant with her director of finance and accounting would reassure Katy that she has a grasp on the finances of the company. It would also give her a better understanding of how a financial statements work. By doing this, it teaches her how to detect errors of understating or overstating her inventory, which would help to cut back on unnecessary inventory.
