The description in this case study is clear. What occurred is when Jane was a young girl her father beat her repeatedly for being naughty. Her father thought she was being naughty but never explained it to her. Jane did not know the reasons why. Jane began to associate love with fear and no matter how hard you try, you will still fail. She realized after a developed relationship with an aunt that her father might have been wrong. She learned her father wasn’t fond of being wrong.
