•Wind- Many interpreters of the Bible think that the wind is a symbol of God. In this book it is all about Brian and how he strongly believes in god. The wind is invisible just like God, but is also very powerful also like God. Brian looks to the wind as a special security because it plays such a big role in his childhood.

•Prairie- The prairie is spiritual place unlike the town, where Brian can go just to be alone with all his thoughts about God. Brian goes to the prairie for security because it also takes on a special and private role throughout his childhood.

•Owl- In the story the owl of Brian’s friend Young Ben is a important symbolof entrapment.
