Sales and marketing is a major aspect of product management. Both are essential to a company’s success. A sale is the pinnacle activity involved in selling products or services in return for money or other compensation. It is an act of completion of a commercial activity.[While marketing is defined as the promotion of products, especially advertising and branding. "Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders.
How can a clear understanding of the differences help ensure a product’s success?
Anytime a company has a clear understand of elements essential to the company the company is successful. Companies have to be aware of the meaning of terms in order to have a clear understand of what the company needs to do in order to be profitable and educate employees and even customers. Companies main goals are to develop effective products which meet the needs and wants of the company’s customers. The companies understand of sales and marketing are important because the company needs to know what sales is so the company can effectively sale products to customers. Also the company needs to know what marketing is so the company the company is able to effectively market the product to customers.
