Anchor is England’s largest not-for-profit housing association, providing housing, care and support to people over 55 years old. Registered as a charity, it is one of the largest in the UK, with a turnover of £269.8 million in 2014/15. We are headquartered in central London, with main offices located in Bradford. We currently have over 10000 people working for us.
The recruitment process is one of the most fundamental value added HR Processes. The recruitment is especially critical for managers in the organisation. I work in the South team, where all our homes are in crises. With a on boarding % of 15 or higher. The South unemployment rate is less than 3%. Our target market is very small. The aim of this project is going to be to get a cost effective recruitment strategy that we can use as the business grows bigger.
Organisations are fighting for the best talent in the job market. We do high volume recruiting since the profession have high turnover. Especially in the industry I work in, it is very important to find the correct person for the job.
Because a situation analysis will help us to understand the situation within the company it is a good starting point, when starting a new long-term project. The results of the analysis will help to make critical decisions about the outcomes and prepare a plan that takes care of urgent issues.
A swot analysis is a cheap and effective tool and it allows the project manager to identify the problem areas. If used correctly, it can ensure that a project will be completed on time, while staying in the budget.
