Relationships and Sexuality.
(What it means to me.)

Both of these terms go as far back as anyone can remember; probably as far back as Adam and Eve in the garden.
In most instances our first experiences with relationships begin with our parents and immediate family members. These are the people in our lives that teach us how relationships form and also how they can be kept for long periods of time or even the rest of our lives. They communicate to us through their own actions how we respond to certain situations. In my opinion these first relationships are what mold us into who we will be and how we will handle our own relationships; whether they are with friends, teachers, co-workers or our lovers and future spouses.
Forming relationships is most likely easier said than done. It is easy to talk and play around with people but when it comes down to it; are you ready to actually listen and be open-minded to the feelings of others? This is where good, long-lasting relationships begin………..with communication. Communication is a key player in all types of relationships; family, friends or spouses.
Most relationships begin with what has been deemed “the most important bond in our society”; friendship. Friendships can be a long and lasting bond between two people. Sometimes friendships can turn into love and eventually marriage and sometimes you are better off staying great friends. It has been long thought that men and women could not be just friends and that such friendships would eventually turn into romantic and sexual encounters. Through our changing times these thoughts have

lessened and more and more men and women can go on to enjoy platonic friendships with no strings. Both men and women tend to be able to enjoy each other’s company as friends more so then they do as lovers and/or husband and wife.
