Political decisions and actions in the present days are taken on the basis of legality and rationality. With the acceptation and exhibition of the strict authenticity of the rational reasons, the consequences of intuitive influence and formal borrowings from the other levels of culture, which politics examines and incorporates in itself, remain in the background. In this respect, its connections and interactions with moral, science, language, and history are problematic basis for extended, critical studies, to which the task of this work can be incorporated: revealing of the hidden influence of the religious grounds upon politics. In this way, the work is a part of contemporary thought and search for answers to the question: to what extend the political structuralizing of the living environment, the ideological rationalization of life, self-sacrifice and death are influenced by religion today.
For many historians of religion, the juxtaposition of Christian religiousness with political practicality will seem extremely heretical, and for the political scientists – insufficient to be derived, interpreted and explained to political problematic. Vital importance for this is that the questions for the structuralizing and overall attitude toward the world in religion are connected with faith, and in politics with the practical realization of knowledge and ideas for government. Despite this, there are facts that necessitate the disclosure of the religious influence on political decisions and actions.
Politics and religion exercise a significant influence on all sides of public life. Both have developed consciousness and outlooks that they are “a world over everything else” and in connection with this, they give the final decisions for life.
