Long has it been that man has blindly placed his faith into an idol presented to him by those seeking power and those already possessing it. It has been said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This pertains not just to government officials, but those heading any large organization… period, including religious cults. How is it that so many people can place faith to such extremities with out questioning the source?
The Catholic Church is a global organization that has attracted the masses with the compelling story of Jesus Christ, the supposed son of the one and only God who sacrificed himself to save mankind as a whole. As incredible as his story is, it is still just that; a story. Very few have ever taken the time to analyze these texts to investigate their credibility. This essay is an attempt to get you to question those responsible for the lives of millions and the power to change a nation with wave of a hand. In the words of G. Massey, Egyptologist, “They must have found it difficult… those who have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority.”
The Bible itself has been rewritten many times by many authoritative figures of the past. These include King James who was responsible for the crusades; an event in which he and his soldiers set out to reform the beliefs of surrounding countries. They presented the people with the teachings of Christ and an ultimatum. Those who did not accept the new religion as their own were slaughtered. King James is responsible the brutal massacring of hundreds upon thousands upon hundreds of thousands of people. His version of The Bible is also the most widely recognized of all the prints.
