ABSTRACT
In this research, we propose an architectural solution to implement Windows Server Active Directory over the “Virtual Application Networks(VANs) to Power Drive Cloud Computing” by the Hewlett-Packard(HP) Development Company, L.P. of Bank Simpanan Nasional(BSN) environment between Headquarters and Branches in Sabah. The objective of this evaluation is to upgrading the network management and security of BSN headquarters and Branches in Sabah by using the Windows Server Active Directory. This study is to design a new network server for BSN in Sabah over the Windows Server Active Directory between headquarters and branches. This study focuses on the performance and security management of the Windows Server Active Directory. Based on the finding result, Windows Server Active Directory is able to contribute better performance and more secure compare to the Virtual Application Networks.

BACKGROUND
The Bank Simpanan Nasional(BSN)is a government owned bank in Malaysia. BSN is one of Malaysia’s premier financial services group with leadership positions in the retail banking commercial banking and investment banking sectors. BSN was incorporated on 1st December 1974 under the ministry of finance at that time, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah. With its incorporation, BSN has taken over all the duties and responsibilities of the Post Office Savings Bank. BSN has more than 5100 employees, 382 branches and 621 automatic teller machine(ATM) nationwide. BSN has more than 7 million customers spread throughout the length and breadth of the country and with savings of more than RM8 billion.
