Observation Report Final Draft (D3)
Thursday evening around five ten PM at the Jordan Commons Megaplex Theater, there was a lady at the southeast movie theaters entrance in front of a sign that said “GEN fourteen to sixteen”. She was wearing a purple Megaplex Theater uniform tee shirt with black pants. She stood behind a podium watching and waiting for people to walk by. As people walked past her she greeted them with a smile and said some words as they handed their tickets over to her. She read the tickets, looked back at the people, then tore the stack of tickets and handed one ticket back to each person. Then, she used her hands, turned her head and pointed them in the right direction. After those people walked away, she waited for a couple minutes then sat down on a chair that was placed behind her stand. Her stand was placed about five feet away from the east wall, and about twenty feet away from the south wall. The room she was in was part of the main lobby. The ceilings were about thirty-five to forty feet high. The whole room consisted of popcorn stands and other concession food booths, a five manned ticket stand in the center of the room, and movie posters lit up with flashing round bulbs around each poster frame. The entire room was dimly lit with neon lights; the neon lights were names and titles for each booth. The whole place smelled like popcorn and French fries. The room was about fifty degrees. For some reason, the women kept picking up her paper, and fanning it towards her head creating wind that caused her hair to wave back and forth. The room was moderately quiet with suddle sounds of voices in the far background, popcorn machines, an air conditioner coming from the ceiling, and other ambience sounds of the room. There was about four or five people in the entire room besides the employees standing behind the ticket counter and in the food booths. From the center of the room, a girl shouted “oh...
