Italy There are many historic cities where you can touch the history with your hands. One of these is Rome, a city characterized by its nomerous monuments. Those are from different ages (Roman Empire, Medieval, Baroque, Reinassance ecc..). One of the symbols of Rome is the Colosseum the largest amphitheatre ever built in the Roman Empire. Rome is also an important city because it is the home of the Catholic Church, in fact it hosts the Pope. Florence and Venice are also two importants Italian cities. The first one is famous for its buildings and it was the capital of the Reinassance age, while Venice it’s pratically a no car zone because its main characteristic being built on the water, in fact the only way of trasportation is by sea with the boats or the Gondolas (typical Venetian boats). Venice is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. But Italy isn’t just historic cities because you can also find spectacular coasts and beautiful mountains. Sardinia, Sicily, Amalfitana’s Coast, Smeralda’s Coast are marvellous sea places, every summer those are full of European turists. During the winter Alpi and Appennini Mountains in Northern Italy are the destinations, where you can find snow, lift and turists places. Italy it’s famous for its food; Italian Cuisine is really popular in the world, in fact there are many restaurants around the world. For sure the most importants italian food are Pizza, Pasta and Cheese, especially the Mozzarella, but other stuff like Espresso Coffee and Wine are also Italian specialities. The climate in Italy is highly diverse and can be far from the stereotypical Mediterranean climate depending on the location. In Northern Italy there is a Continental climate, so much cold during the winter with frequently snow. In Middle Italy the climate is not so much cold, during the winter it‘s unusual see the snow, and not so much hot during the summer.
