The policy in place highlights the effects of positive behaviour on the children, therefore if they behave accordingly and follow the rules it is not only beneficial for their safety it is also beneficial in the rewards system. Following rules and instructions ensures everybody remains safe and prevents any potential incidents. Children are able to make a positive contribution to the school and their class by earning rewards such as marbles into a class rewards system or house points for their house contributing as a team effort .Through team sports and activities social skills can develop significantly and through use of praise and discipline emotional skills are learnt in a way of how to handle different situations for example the first time a child is verbally warned they may feel upset and not really understand the reasons for punishment, this comes through learning and understanding what is expected of them and learning their own limits.
