I am a United States Sailor. I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will obey the orders of those appointed over me. What this means to me is that I will carry out any order no matter if it be a job, task, or duty station of appointed place and time with no questions asked. I am to take responsibility for any Lawful orders that are not carried out from my superiors. Not carrying out any Lawful order will result in disciplinary action in accordance with Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
I represent the fighting spirit of the navy and those that have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world. I represent the United States Navy and what it stands for. I am proud to fight for my country and defend freedom and democracy around the world is an honor and a privilege. I am proud to be an American and an American Sailor.
I proudly serve my country’s Navy combat team with Honor, Courage, and Commitment. I Honor and cherish my service to my country’s Navy combat team. Having the courage to face the enemy at any given point and defend freedom and democracy around the world. And the commitment to the United States Navy and all the duties and responsibilities that are given or appointed to me.
I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all. I will treat all of my fellow shipmates with equal opportunity. I will not treat any shipmate unequally. If I am to see any wrongful actions or gestures I am to report it to my chain of command.
