Security Awareness Training

Introduction
The conduct of the employees at Kudler Foods that have access to company’s information system can potentially expose critical material that could cause significant loss to the establishment. For this reason, it is important that a security awareness training plan is devised, implemented, and regularly held for future improvements for all employees. Technology can provide us with solutions to the mechanical aspect of security, but the human factor is best dealt with by raising awareness. The practices of employees and contractors as well are the primary sources for loss and prevention of costly data. There is another motivation for the need of security awareness to extend further than that of the employee’s awareness, and also it’s the law.
Purpose
To ensure that all employees understand the importance and responsibility of upholding the company policies, and information security, the security awareness training is immensely endorsed. The objective of the security awareness training is to teach guidelines and to maintaining a comprehensive awareness and training program to accompany the company’s security plan provided by IT (Wilson, 2003). The success of the security awareness training program depends on all level of the organization having one common goal, and that is protecting the company’s sensitive information from leaking out to the public.
Scope
The scope of the security awareness training program will discuss how there has to be security awareness from the new hire to the security specialist. The training ensures that personnel have the knowledge and competence required to perform their duties and keep the customers information private. The content of the training plan shall extend to security policy and disciplinary actions associated with violating company policy.
