Life story
Everything happened 9 years ago. When I was 7 I lived in Puerto Rico. I was
living with my mom who was 9 months pregnant with my little brother, my dad , and my two
sisters. One of the age of 10 and the other of the age of 6. My parents at the time weren’t that
type of parents that you would call good parents.
One day when I came home from the playground I saw a lot of people with
badges on their chest in my house. I didn’t know who they were or why they were there. I
glanced at a woman, she was carrying some boxes I noticed that my belongings were inside of it.
I ran inside the house and I find my daddy crying and yelling he was saying that they couldn’t
take us away from them. When I saw and heard him I started crying and looking for my mom
and my sisters. I found my mom crying and my sisters by her side I ran to them and asked my
mom why was daddy saying that. While she was crying she said to me that they were going to
take us away from them temporarily while they go to rehab. I started crying more then I hugged
her and told her that I didn’t want to leave them. But if it was for their own good, for them to go
to rehab and for us to go, I told her that I would go. She said yes that it was for their own good.
Then the woman that I had seen earlier with my belongings grabbed me by my hand and
told me it was time for us to go. I kissed and hugged my parents tightly and said good bye. While
they were both crying they told us that everything was going to be alright. The woman told my
parents that they had an appointment the next morning at the court so they could sing me, my
baby brother, and my 6 year old sister custody over to my aunt from my dad’s side and my 10
year old sister over to my aunt from my mom’s side. While we were going out the door I ran
back to my parents and hugged them and kissed them goodbye again. They told me...
