Servant Leadership

Abstract

Servant leaders are vigilant in fighting superiority, egotism, satisfaction and dominance daily. It is believed that if you create the right values and culture normal people will do extraordinary things. It is not thought that they are better than the people they lead and they don’t feel that if you are not watching employees, they will not work hard. If you lead correctly, you will be followed correctly. I discovered after reading the text and the Bible, that Jesus is the greatest leadership role model of all times.

Servant Leadership
Lead Like Jesus is a group of committed individuals on mission to integrate Jesus into the lives and leadership of as many people as possible. Recognizing leaders as anyone who influences the thinking, behavior, or development of others, the message of Lead Like Jesus impacts all people at the core of their leadership – their heart. (Blanchard, 2007).

Learning from Jesus, the greatest leadership model ever, only makes sense, and that’s why Lead Like Jesus exists. Our mission is to lead like Jesus did: to demonstrate God’s love for people while helping them change the way they live, love and lead. (Blanchard, 2007). I watched a You Tube video of Ken Blanchard and he made a quote that I thought was very moving. “The Lord has always had you on his team; you have just not suited up yet.” And the day you do, your life will be forever changed. You will have the ability to lead like Jesus, the compassion to understand your fellow employee, have empathy, and have the ability to lead all in your charge with God’s will.
