Someone once stated that “Slavery and freedom cannot exist together.” Do you really believe that? Well I believe they can but in this society they’re some selfish people that don’t care about freedom for others. However, do you think slavery should be legal? Would you like to be a slave? If, not why should anyone else? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion about slavery but we should treat everyone equally and go against slavery. But, we need to bring people to freedom and to end slavery but the only way this can happen is we need to have an public agreement that it is time to end slavery once and for all. Also, money needs to be spent to eradicate slavery, but not nearly as much as you might think. Thirdly, no one wants to live in a world with slavery. Today the slaveholders are weaker than they have ever been, and there is universal agreement that slavery must end. But slavery will end if corruption is tackled, victims are treated with respect, and those of us who are free decide to support all those who help others to freedom.
Slavery was inhumane cruel and unjust of innocent human beings, it’s just not right for a man to own a man. So why support slavery? When all these innocent human beings were treated cruel, and how the white men did the African Americans slaves when they put them in cages, stack them on top of each other, and stuffed them on boats basically leaving the African slaves to die. So why encourage slavery? We’re supposed to put an end to slavery, why see our innocent human beings treated so cruel? Would you want to see your siblings being treated badly?
Slave trade caused inter-tribal warfare in Africa and destroyed family and political structures in Africa. Slavery was just a dehumanizing instance that made you look back at what people were capable of and gives us an idea of what black people went through.
