Small businesses. Some call them the backbone of this economy. I agree with this statement. Small businesses create different job opportunities for the people. The more of them that pop up, the more job openings there are. They also provide services for the people as well. I believe that they are helping to boost the economy because of these facts. Although they are helping the economy, they wouldn't be able to if they didn't have success strategies to keep them running smoothing. There are many things that keep them running but I believe I have picked out the top three that they all share.
The first thing that they all share is hard work. Every successful business knows the importance of hard work. You cannot expect to put in a little effort and get a lot back. It is like the classes in college. Your grades will be determined by the amount of effort you put into the assignment. Another one that they share is dedication. Nobody can become successful overnight. You will have ups and downs but you have to stick it out through them even when you feel like quitting. Again I can compare this to my career in college. I still have three years here and if I didn't have dedication then I would not be able to get my degree. The third thing is their workers. Smaller businesses generally have a lot less employees than the bigger corporation types. Because of this the smaller business workers can usually do more. They have more duties because there are less people so they have more variety with their abilities. The owners can usually utilize fewer resources to accomplish more work.
With these strategies I could start my own business. If I were to make my own it would be something in the gaming industry. Video games have become extremely popular in the past few years and I believe that a store like GameStop would be successful. I would have to come up with something to compete with GameStop’s special offers but that would not be a problem. There are other stores that...
