Cigarettes, a hazard to life have become very common. It is just a burning piece of paper and tobacco, but smokers ignore and take the carbon dioxide into their lungs. People are killing themselves and harming others by smoking. The awareness among the people has been rising but many of the young people ignore the dangers, and still causing many diseases to happen; consequently leading to more deaths.
The dangers of smoking are many, but still cigarettes have are becoming very common; every third person smokes these days. As the elders smoke and young people also learn that there is no harm by smoking, they start at a very young age and continue to seem like there is no harm done. Apart from getting this habit from elders, some people smoke to release tension, but knowing the actual reality that inhaling carbon dioxide does not release tension.
Scientist has proven that smoking causes cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases and cancer. These diseases don not occur overnight or within days but, throughout a prolonged period of time smoking cigarettes. People do not realize the amount of nicotine the intake. It just makes a person addictive and damages the lungs which become permanent.
Teenage smoking has been created by society itself. Besides being influenced by parents or elders, it can also be powered by television, movies, friends and simply peer pressure. Most teenagers do not clearly understand nor know the difference between most right and wrongs, so it turns out that they are influenced by curiosity. Most teenagers start smoking for fun, friends, or just to relieve stress levels. But little do they know that it doesn’t just harm them, it can harm others by second hand smoking, it causes pollution and it can lead to other disasters like house fires.
People should quit smoking to decrease the chances of young people to smoke and to increase humanity, society, and decrease pollution. As a result of less smoking, it will lead to lesser deaths, a...
