Social classes are the hierarchical arrangements of people in society in group. Social class is a complex issue that may involve status, wealth, culture, background and employment.
In Marxist theory, social class is caused by the fundamental economic structure of work and property. The Marxist conception of class involves a collective group of individuals that share similar economic and social relations relative to each other in society. A class is a group with intrinsic tendencies and interests that are different from, and may be opposed to the interests of other groups in society. Social classes with greater power attempt to cement their own ranking above the lower social classes in the social hierarchy to the detriment of the society over all. Social class is a key feature of life.
By contrast, conservatives and structural functionalists have presented class difference as intrinsic to the structure of any society and to that extent ineradicable. Social classes with a great deal of power are usually viewed as "the elites" within their own societies.
Social classes are affected by social structure. Social structure denominates a complex cultural code of society or of a social system which human live together and interact with one another. Social structure is the way in which a society is organized into relationship between people and pattern of social interaction .These shape behaviour and identity. Social structure is often treated together with the concept of social change which deals with the forces that change the organization of society.
One of the components of social structure is education which plays an important role in social class. Social class is dependent on education success. Nowadays in the society, we can see that most of the parents of family try to get their child a better and higher education.
