After reading Goodman’s “Some Moral Minima” I have so many topics I can write about. There is so much wrong with the morals of people today it is sad. My paper is not to get people to see my point or follow my belief, but just rather open their eyes to the possibility that their moral belief could use some tweaking and could maybe think different as my brother would say. Goodman (2010) states there are four main areas that are ‘wrong’, no matter the cultural background: genocide, terrorism, slavery, and rape. I agree with Goodman (2010) on this point because the mass murder or genocide of any people is wrong regardless of the situation, as well as terrorism, slavery, and rape. What makes this statement true is that most humans often will go with the majority; it is no coincidence that humans are often likened to sheep in the Bible, Quran and Torah.
Let’s look at genocide, regardless of what people were taught to believe, it is wrong the mass murder of any people is wrong. If any of the following was to happen today, there would be an uproar, for example;in the Toarah and Bible…1 Samuel 15:3: "This is what the Lord Almighty says ... 'Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both, man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.' " Any leader today that would tell his/her people to go and kill an entire group of people and leave nothing alive, every country on this planet would work together to bring them down for being inhuman yet people look back and make excuses on why this is acceptable. This is not the only time this was written about being done just for the cause of religious purposes. Even though there is no passage in the Quran that tells the people to commit mass murder some of its followers have resulted to such atrocities.

Genocide regardless the reason originates from a heart of hate, it involves a desire to dominate, ignores justice and mercy toward the victims,...
