Essay Question #1
The most useful feature of this course was learning to not procrastinate. I found that if I just to it and get it over with I have free time. With truly free time I don’t have to worry about if I will have enough time to do it or I better hurry up and get home so I can do it. It’s nice to know that I already have it done it and my free time is more relaxing. Not being a procrastinator can making being at school more relaxing knowing I can do the material and I can be ahead of the game if I do work that was given but will be completed in class such as the “what you need to know” for tests. At work not being a procrastinator can make you more successful and keep you out of trouble. An employer does not want an employee who pushes paperwork to the side and does a sloppy job because they waited until the deadline. I will use my ability to not procrastinate to complete my medical assistant degree here at Virginia College.

One of my long term goals is to become a registered nurse. I plan on attaining it by working hard and completing my short term goals to eventually get me to that long term goal. I will also keep in mind my goals because it seems like many people lose sight of their long term goals. Many people seem to be worried about the here and now. It is easy to get comfortable and stuck into an everyday routine. It is like a hamster just running on the hamster wheel going in circles. In the next paragraph I will discuss my short term goals that will lead me to my long term goal of being a RN.
First I need to complete my medical assistant program in January 2016. I will secure a job at a doctor’s office or hospital in February 2016. Within the next six years when my son in enrolled in school I will go back to school to become a registered nurse. I will then secure a job as a registered nurse in ten years.
